RUHRC
Queens-based • Serving New York State
Rural–Urban Health Research Center helps New Yorkers identify needs, navigate benefits, and connect with trusted community resources.
Our focus
We support people who need help with food, benefits, transportation, housing resources, healthcare access, and everyday administrative barriers that affect health and stability.
Support with public benefit questions, applications, document readiness, and referrals to appropriate community programs.
Connection to food pantries, nutrition resources, emergency assistance, and community-based support networks.
Help identifying barriers such as transportation, appointment coordination, health insurance questions, and follow-up needs.
Preliminary screening
This private preliminary screening helps us understand your needs and prepare for a navigation appointment. It is not a Medicaid eligibility determination and does not guarantee services.
Partner-ready infrastructure
RUHRC is preparing scalable workflows for intake, screening, referral tracking, follow-up, and outcomes reporting so we can support community partners, healthcare organizations, and social care initiatives.
